Thomas Edward Wells is one of the last master faux finishers of his generation from England. He graduated and recieved his BA degree from the distinguished Royal London School of Graphic Arts.
He had an inimitable style-sumptuos, ornate, and richly textured, inspired in great part by his fondness for the Victorian era. "He loved their way of life and their rich architecture and superior workmanship."
Mr. Wells reputation grew both in London and throughout Europe, he begun to be sought after by individuals in the entertainment industry, the theater industry, and by royalty.
Some of his A-list clients were the Prince of Qatar.
He also redecorated homes for Cat Stevens, Victoria Tenant and Lady Huntley.
He has done work for Barbara Streisand on her movie set Yentil, he has designed the home of the Oscar nominated movie Secrets & Lies for the owners Matty & Brigette Lennon.
Upon moving to America, one of Thomas's first jobs was an assistant art director for Venetian Casino Resort in Las Vegas. Employing his favorite forms of decorating-marbleizing, rag roll painting, and other forms of faux finishing- Thomas spent 18 months creating the gracefully aged look of Venice in the casino's 400,000-square-foot retail and hospitality space. He followed that job with a six-month stint at the Aladdin Casino.
He now resides here in beautiful sunny Orange County, CA working as an interior design freelance consultaunt.
He also gives back to the community for those that are less fortunate by giving free services on Monday to cancer patients at his clinic in Costa Mesa which is run by his wife, Erkkie Harris Wells, who is a trichologist that diagnosis different forms of hair loss.www.miyoharainternational.com
